 Modifications to Standard Units

WINSMITH has a long history of providing its customers with individual modifications from the simple to the exotic at reasonable prices and realistic deliveries. We have extended and enhanced this vital service to new dimensions in the D-90 TYPE SE product line. We sincerely believe that with our engineering expertise and our custom designing experience, we can offer you the best of all worlds in non-standard worm gear products. Listed below are just some of the possible modifications. Servo Motor Adapters:

Servo motor adapters can be made to match almost any servo motor in the market today. The following are examples of some of the more popular bolt circle patterns and the size unit for which they would be appropriate:

WINSMITH Paint Systems:

Speed reducers are used in a wide variety of applications and conditions. For this reason, WINSMITH offers a series of paint systems to address the different needs that arise. A paint system is a series of preparation and coating steps used in establishing a protective barrier between the speed reducer and the operating environment.

Rust Resistant System: Highly rust resistant paint is applied to a clean surface sealing the unit against the atmosphere under most application conditions. This is the coating system used on Winsmith standard products.

Rust Preventative System: Rust resistant primer applied to a clean surface then coated with a highly rust resistant paint. This paint system is used when extra protection against moisture and salt spray are needed at a low cost.

High Performance System: Epoxy coating applied to a clean surface. This paint system is used when the speed reducer is exposed to extremely harsh conditions like direct water spray, chemical exposure and extreme temperatures. This is the system used on our severe duty MAXIMIZER PLUS unit.

Metric Shafts for Winsmith Reducers:

WINSMITH can provide a wide selection of metric input shafts, output shafts, and metric motorized input bores with corresponding metric keyways. The chart below lists the maximum shaft sizes per a given unit size.
